"Obedience is Better than Sacrifice"

1 Samuel 15:22 But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams."

We should always be free from the belief of begging God to bless us and making Him feel sorry for us to get anything we want from Him. King Saul in the story of 1 Samuel 15 thinks that the Lord will appreciate His burnt offerings but in reality, he was living in disobedience to God's will. Our God is not moved by our emotions, He does what He knows is best for us. Let us always desire God's perfect will rather than His permissive will. If we confess that we love God with all our heart and soul, then we should also desire to seek and Obey His will. Loving God more will cause us to fully trust in His plans for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"

The Lord said to obey is better than sacrifice. The word of God always tells us that God's blessings follows those who obey the Lord. The blessings of the Lord is laid at the feet of those who obey the will of God. Whether preaching His gospel or simply obeying His instructions for us, He guarantees that you will receive His blessings if you fully obey Him.

For those who are called by God in the marketplace, there is an invitation from God to experience more of His goodness in our lives and in the works of our hands. But to experience more of God's goodness and divine intervention, we should seek Him and be familiar with His ways. Doing this will level up our relationship with Him and will also increase our wisdom and understanding with the ways of God.

Have you sought the will of the Lord for your business? The Lord's plan is always to prosper us and not to harm us. Our God desires the best for all of us. I pray that you will have an excitement of discovering the will of the Lord for you! As you read this post, I pray that your heart will have a burning desire to obey the plans of the Lord in your life. Commit all your plans unto Him and He will establish them for you. And as you walk hand in hand and side by side with God, you do not have to ask for blessings, because the Lord will lead you to green pastures. All for the glory of the Lord in our lives!
