Hire an Intercessor for Your Business?

God said that we should be the head and not the tail! We can truly shine as His light in the marketplace. Businesses owned by Christians or those businesses who follow the word of God should become the head and not the tail. Our Heavenly Father promises blessings and prosperity to those who will fully obey Him. So these businesses should desire to fully surrender to God and obey His will in their business operations and transactions. They should hold on to the promises of God and align everything in their business to the will of the Lord. By doing this, they will surely inherit the wonderful promises of God in His word!

James 1:17

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

The Lord is our good shepherd and He will always lead us into greener pastures and into our success! Business owners and managers should desire to know the will of God in their business so they can operate in the principles of God’s Kingdom with the Word of God. But I know that it can be difficult to balance time managing the business and praying for your business prayer items. And for those business owners and managers who do not have enough time to pray and have troubles in receiving specific instructions from the Lord, they experience challenges in receiving directions from God with their business operations.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2

“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.”

There are those people who are called by God to pray for business owners, managers and employees. It is a great joy for these people to commune with God and receive instructions from Him to help Christian businesses align with the will of God. They are called to pray for owners, managers and employees to make sure they are aligned with the calling and the purpose of the business in the marketplace. But please understand that these intercessors are not there to control the business but to submit everything that they received from the Lord to the management. Still, the management has the final decision.

Intercessors are there to stand in the gap on behalf of the business and its employees. Asides from receiving instructions from the Lord, they are also called to pray and ask for forgiveness so God can cleanse the business and its operations from any sin or unrighteousness. They are called to pray and ask God for the manifestation of righteousness, peace and joy in the business. They have a task to pray for covering and protection for business operations, transactions and for all its employees. They are there to make sure that there are no open doors for the enemy to attack the business, its operations and employees. Prophetically, marketplace intercessors can also receive specific instructions for business operations and processes and submit these instructions to the owner/s, managers or employees in the business. They are also called to pray and ask God for more blessings and opportunities for growth of prosperity of the business.

Colossians 4:12

“Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.”
