Know the Calling and Mission of your Business in the Marketplace

It is a must to know the calling and mission of your business in the marketplace. I am certain that our God established your business not just for gaining profit but also to testify His goodness in the marketplace. I personally believe that Christian businesses should prosper and become leaders! They should be able to model a business that is presence driven and is operating in the principles of God’s Kingdom.

I believe that every Christian business has a calling and mission from the Lord and if these businesses will know their calling from God, they will be able to walk in alignment to God’s will. The bible says in Deuteronomy 28, that if we fully obey the Lord, He will make us the head and not the tail! Sad to say this is not the case for every Christian business out there. Some non-Christian businesses are leading in the marketplace because we simply allowed this to happen. It is now a good time for a Kingdom takeover!

Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

I am praying that before the Lord comes back for us, every one of us will be able to accomplish his/her calling from the Lord. I am praying this same prayer for Christian businesses as well. I long to see these Christian businesses fulfill their calling and mission from the Lord for the marketplace. I long to see these businesses receive their reward from God when we all see Him face to face. I am urging Christian businesses to know their purpose from God for the marketplace. Let us all desire to be used by God as His light and salt in the industry and in our communities. As your business prospers, I pray that you will not forget to bless others as well. I am praying that your business too will prosper and become a good testimony in the marketplace all for the glory of God!

When a business is walking in obedience to the will of God, I am certain that it will experience fruitfulness and breakthroughs! When a business operates in the principles of God’s Kingdom, there will be an assurance of prosperity and blessings in all areas of that business. The word of God in Psalm 5:12 says that the Lord will surround the righteous with favor as with a shield. Imagine a business operating in the righteousness of God, all its operations and processes will be favored by God. There will be a covering of God’s favor in all its business transactions. When a Christian business walks in its calling and mission from God, there will be a protection from the Lord against all the attacks from the enemy. A business who practices the presence of God will surely be under the shadow of the Most High!

Psalm 91:1

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Imagine a business fully yielded to God, for sure that business will be used mightily to demonstrate a victorious presence driven business in the marketplace! I am certain as the word of God says in Psalm 1:3 that whatever that business will do will prosper! So Let us desire to know our calling and mission from the Lord in the marketplace. As business owners, managers and employees it is a must to know the calling and mission of your business in the marketplace. Desire to walk in the mission of your business and you will surely experience all these promises from the Lord. I urge you to spend time with God in prayer and ask Him if your business is in alignment to His will. He is our good Father and He will surely give wisdom to those who asks Him. He will surely give you instructions and guide you and your business to represent His Kingdom in the marketplace.

James 1:5

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

So now open your heart to God and pray for your business. Pray and ask God to empower your business so it may be able walk in its calling and mission. Pray that your business will be able to accomplish its tasks and assignments from the Lord. And at the end of the age, when we are all facing God’s throne, you and your business will surely receive rewards. All for the glory of God!
